School's out for the day, come draw, create & play! Learn to draw featuring Walter Foster's 'Learn to Draw' books. 6 camps to choose from, each featuring a different book! Leave with a 'Learn to Draw' book and a matted piece of finished artwork.

Adventures in Art: a 90-minute children’s painting class

Not sure what to get the grandparents for the holidays this year? What about an original piece of art from an up-and-coming artist known as...your child. We offers a unique 90-minute guided painting class for children that will teach them about color mixing, perspective, painting techniques and most importantly, encourage them to unleash their creativity on the blank canvas. Classes are all taught by instructors with art degrees and every child leaves with their own 11 x 14 painting. With canvas ready and brush in hand (all supplies are provided), who knows what kind of masterpiece your little one will produce. Something frame-worthy, that’s for sure.

Art supplies provided. Class size is limited to 12 students. Classes are every Sat from 10:30am - 12pm starting Dec 3, 2011, excluding holidays. Classes may be rescheduled if minimum enrollment is not met.

Explore different painting techniques: color blending, texture, 3-D, and print making!

Gretchen Crossley has a degree in fine art and is a professional photographer with a studio in downtown Kirkland. An art docent in the Lake Washington School district for 10 years, she’s developed programs and classes for children for Bellevue Art & Frame over the last year and encourages individuality and fun with every lesson. Art for teensArt for Ages 10 to 14 - For the young artist ready to explore various media & develop their own style. Further explore fundamentals of art, new techniques and basic perspective. Media: graphite, oil & soft pastels,colored pencil, ink, acrylics, and watercolor
8 weeks, 1 sessions available - Thursdays 3/1-3/22 5:30-7:00. $215, supplies included.
art for teensArt for Teens (13 & up, 12 if existing student or with instructor’s permission) - For the young artist who has mastered the basic drawing skills and is ready to explore mixed media & develop their own style. Further explore fundamentals of art, new techniques and basic perspective. Media: graphite, oil & soft pastels,colored pencil, ink, acrylics, watercolor and mixed media
8 weeks, 1 sessions available - Mondays 2/27-3/19 4:00-5:30. $215, supplies included.

Julie Hammerquist has enjoyed creating art from an early age. Her love of art has guided her path through life. Professionally, she has been a technical illustrator, an architectural illustrator, a graphic artist, and a digital artist. Kiwibluekids: An art enrichment class taught by professional Graphic Designer/Art Specialist, Debra Mason.

KiwibluekidsKiwiBlueKids is an art enrichment class taught by professional Graphic Designer/Art Specialist, Debra Mason. Each class incorporates several elements of art into every designed piece of work. We use only professional mediums such as acrylic, pen and ink, watercolor, colored pencil, mixed media, oil pastel, and pastel. "I love to see the joy in every student's face as they complete their work. That is my ultimate reward!" A matted piece of artwork will go home with each child every week
Ages 5-14. 4 week each, 3 sessions starting on Tuesdays 1/10-1/31, 2/7-2/28, 3/6-3/27 or Wednesdays 2/8-2/29, 3/7-3/28 4:00-6:00. $140, supplies included.

Debra Mason has degrees in interior design and Commercial Art/Graphic Design. For over 15 years she taught an after school art program in the Bellevue School District, was an Art Specialist at The Bear Creek School for 8 1/2 years, and currently runs the art program at the Bellevue Club.
